The aluminum washer is for the oil drian plug on the oil pan,, they will mash out real thin beyound head of plug, and also get formed up into the threads is used repeatedly over time,,, I hate trying to get mashed drain gaskets of the plugs.

As to the oil capacity, I been averaging 6qt per 3.3 oil change... unscrew the black cap to vent the canister, then proceed to drain the oil.

When you lift the cap, come straight up, and stay that way till you hit the catch pan, then tip it, as oil will dump out of the cap. You'll figure it if you spill.. replace the o-rings as seen.

BE SURE you fully install the cap all the way down so flange meets the top of the cansiter.

Pour 5 1/2 qt in, start engine for 20 seconds, shut off,,,, walk the long way around vehicle, check oil, top off the oil to FULL mark on dipstick.

Do you sing "god bless America" or "god save the queen"? If the former, use 5.5 US quarts (I pour in the full 6 quarts on my 3.3). If the later, then use 4.6 imperial quarts.

I thought it was "The Star Spangled Banner" or "Oh Canada"

My poor old Toyota with 341,000 still has the original drain plug.. I have a stock of Toyota gaskets, and drain plug gets 35 lb-ft of torque with my 3/8 torque wrench and 14 socket...

As to the Hyundai plug,, those serviced by delaer usuall do not get squished like that, it almost always come from those that visit the jippy places and keep using the old gasket over and over.. they quite fun to get off, side cutter or sharp chisel works best.
