I just changed my oil and filter for first time and noticed 2 rubber o-rings that I expected to see and then saw the metal washer. Does that actually go anywhere, because I couldn't find it anywhere in the filter housing.

Also, how many quarts is the fill? Owner manual is a bit vague:

Quantity (US. QTS) (lmp.qts, liter)
Gasoline 3.3L : 5.49 (4.57, 5.2)

Is that 5.49 or 4.57?

I'm a Start Spangled Banner kind of guy - 5.5 qts. Those capacities aren't well defined with their syntax, that's why I asked.

Guess I'll replace the crush washer next time - looked fine when I changed it.

I only use 120 ft/lbs of torque when I put the oil bolt back in :blink:
