Does the my2000 XG's have "standard" OBD connectors and functionality for diagonstics? Or did they use some other sort of system back then?

Ok, I'll dive in under the steering wheel and have a look. The manual/handbook said nothing about this. :p

Sure it has EOBD/ISO 9141 and the DLC16 connector down there. EOBD/OBDII is mandatory in Europe since 2000. All Hyundais here have it since ~97/98 depending on the model.

The XG is quite loaded with electronics, so the socket can do way more than just EOBD/OBDII (not 11)
