Hi to all!

My car is now 5 days at a mechanic (Elantra 2001 1.6 gls).
Car can't start, he diagnosed that car has no spark, no fuel and no
error code.

At first it took 2-3 times of cranking the car and it would start.
That was for like 2 days and then it just couldn't start at all.

He tried to replace crankshaft sensor but everything is the same?
Tested the fuel pump, no power, every relay or fuse is ok.

Can someone please help me?
Any solutions?

THank you in advance!

^^ what he said is exactly correct. it could be something as simple as a relay.

is the engine turning over when you try to start?

get a new mechanic. if he's taking shots in the dark replacing sensors like that he's not doing his job right.

Hi!
Thank you for your answers, it's ecu, he sent it to diag and says that is ecu.

I will re-post answer when he replaces ecu or when car starts.

to zero_gravity, yes car is turning over fine when I try to start it.

Hi!
I cant post pictures here or links
so, my ecu is "KEFICO" numbers above the barcode are:
9 030 930 146F B10
And numbers below barcode are:
39109-26740

So my question is, are maybe ecu's of some hyundais
compatible with my car (Maybe accents)?

Here in Croatia Elantra is very rare car and its hard
to find used parts and brand new
ECU is somewhere around 1000 $!!!

no ECUs are not interchangeable. just do all the testing you can to be sure the ECU is indeed the problem. a simple broken wire could cause your troubles.

Yes ECU is indeed faulty, cause detailed testing was made by electricians by official schematics.
Now I have two options, used or new ECU.

If ECUs are not interchangeable between models, is ECU same between Elantras
hatchback or sedan with same engine, year and model as mine!?

check part #s with the dealer before buying anything that is even a year different, same model.

hyundai has this strange thing for changing their wiring slightly between years. not sure why, something to do maybe.

Hi to all!
Car is up and running :D!

It wasn't problem at all with ECU.
It was Immobilizer, immobilizer is removed, ecu reprogrammed to work without it
and everything is fine now.

Thank you all for your help!
