I recently had my '01 Santa Fe (GLS V6) into the shop because it was making a constant noise. The technician told me it needs a new "vibration dampener". He also recommended that the alternator serpentine belt be replaced while the vibration dampener was being replaced. So, can anyone help me figure out a part number for the dampener or point me to where I can but it. I tried looking on http://www.autopartswarehouse.com but it's tought to find a part without a number.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

Recent topic here or in the Sonata forum..

I know we had 3 of them on the shelf last week or earlier this week...

Found it -- page 2 -- http://www.hyundai-forums.com/t49739-st-20-timing-belt.htm

Fastest is to simply pay your local Hyundai or Kia dealer' parts counter a visit... it's an everyday item.. Sonata/Santa Fe share the part, as does the Kia Optima with the 2.7
