I am trying to remove teh door skin on a 94 Elantra, and can't remove teh manual window crank. Can someone help?

There's a metal spring type circlip that holds the handle onto the capstan. You can usually slide it out with a thin screwdriver. After that the hadle will just pop off.

You may be able to see it just by pusing against the panel and looking between the panel and the edge of the plastic handle opposite to the way the crank points. Here's a not-so-good illustration -

Go to a local parts store and ask for the tool to remove the retaining clip for the window crank. The tool is cheap. It makes it easy.

Yes, the window crank circlip remover is the go to remove these circlips.

You can quite easily remove them with a screwdriver, but if unfamiliar with the design then it can take quite some time to do so.

My suggestion, is if you are going to purchase one of these tools, that you bend the tips just a little bit, say about 10' to 15'(degrees), this will aid you in your attempt to make contact with the circlip so that it wont slip off and need to start again.
