Door latch/actuator assembly --- WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE... Those are fun to do, especially the rears, you gots to release the window glass from the lift plate, 1 tech has broke the glass a couple time before figuring out how to release the glass.

Then you got to take the door handle off outside of door so you can swap plastic cover and link assembly, and switch the cable.

Fronts is a wee bit easier to do

Any tips on how to release the glass from the lift plate? I'm having a hard time getting it to release and don't want to break the glass.

Remove the #3 phillip screw from the regulator.

You should be able to make out the rectangle shape slot in the white plastic..

Get assistant to hold glass and raise it when you take a large flat screwdriver blade and push in oo the slot. If done right,, the glass will pop out of the lift and come up..... raise glass by hand to the closed position, and use long piece of masking tape to hold glass up out of way.

sorry to bring this old thread back, but anyone know if the lock actuator cover under 5years or 2yesrs from purchase. I have an 06 and my passenger rear lock sounds like it's going bad soon. My 5 years coverage ends in May so if it's cover under 5years i would like to get it done before that. BTW, the lock in question was already replaced two years ago.

Past experiences tell me that when the power lock is used to lock and unlocked and it makes a loud noises. This is s extra loud clack sound compared to a properly working lock that is quiet and smooth sounding. It means that the lock will be going bad soon. I already replaced both front and rear passenger lock actuator under warranty and each time, the same loud clack sound happened before it goes bad......................
