Can LED fog lights be user-added to a 2017 SE currently w/o fog lights by plugging into an existing harness connector already there or would splicing in be necessary?

On another 2009 car I had, the fog lights were pre-wired and only had to be plugged into the new lights I bought, but, I had to change the lights switch stalk on the steering column in order to give the CPU a command to turn on the fog light relay if I wanted to use the existing wiring. The replacement light switch stalk with the fog-light position was not expensive and was easy to install.

Thank you. That's what I suspected but was looking for confirmation. Maybe a 2015-17 owner has done this and will chime in.
