Noticed today when I shift 1-2 and 2-3, engine revs up a bit when clutch released.
Is this the clutch slipping?
What do I need to check?
How difficult a job is working on the clutch on this car?
How much should it cost at a shop?

Any and all input is appreciated!!

If the motor goes fast and you dont faster with it, good assumption the disc is slipping and not transfer engine speed to drive train.

Old RD has a crossmember uner the roll mounts, so you way ahead of game for ease of trans R&R.. later model have full perimeter subframe that has to come out.

Hang rear of motor before trans removal, as you'll lose tail mount when prepping trans for removal.

Shop labor likely be 7-9hr at shop rate, add parts, M/T oil (only use API GL4 oil from Hyundai/Kia or REDLINE MT-85), and flywheel resurface, and change oil in clutch hydraulic system so it fresh and clean (see bottle full of black fluid and black mud in bottom)
