Is there anyway to use the shuffle feature on the ipod using the Hyundai cable? My assumption is that the cable overrides the ability to choose songs on the ipod directly.

Also, I can see playlists but can't get to "PODCASTS" folder?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

+1 for the Shuffle question -- I'd love to shuffle my tunes also...
So far the only thought I've had is to override the use of the usb and only use the headphone jack (thereby bypassing the hyundai controlling mechanism and using the ipod to control)

When you plug in the iPod you can see some buttons along the bottom of the screen (I have the NAV screen). From there you can push the random button. The first press is "album random", second is "random". For those that use this feature if you make a phone call when you return to the music you will have to press the random button again. Hope this helps. :57:
Thanks for the help.

I don't have navigation in my Sonata, but if you connect via the Hyundai cable and go to "Songs" and push the "RDM" button on the radio (the #2 pre-set) it shuffles the songs.

Still can't get the "PODCAST" folder to show up though.
To do podcasts i created a playlist for each particular podcast. For some stupid reason, apple thinks i want to hear the Newest podcast FIRST, even if i haven't listened to older podcasts. So in order to solve that problem, i created a playlist and then it would play in the correct time order.

Then i ran out of podcasts and didn't feel like listening to XM. Now, my ipod was dead because somehow the sonata likes to drain the battery. I tried to do the "shuffle" songs via the ipod before placing it into the cable. but it just died. Took me all of like 30 some minutes on my commute back from work to figure out the #2 station preset is the random/shuffle button. I kept looking for it via the ipod control or on the side config buttons.
