Evening all, having some intermittent starting issues with my 2012 Santa Fe (3.5 V6 - ~80,000 miles).

I've only had it happen in the morning on the first start of the day. I'll get in and crank it but it turns over and never fires. I'll give it a sec, turn the key to on and let it sit for 5 seconds and crank it again. Now it starts up and there doesn't seem to be any problems for the rest of the day.

Any thoughts? I've done some searching on here and haven't really come up with similar issues.

Every time your going to start the engine, keep an eye out for the immobilizer warning light.

When everything is working normally the warning light should come on when you turn the ignition on then switch off during crank.
If the warning light doesn't come on when you turn the ignition on the engine wont fire. The PCM wont inject any fuel into the cyls.

Ok this is good info, thanks. I checked the codes and nothing was showing. I will have to keep an eye out for the immobilizer light.
