I just purchased a 2020 Sonata Limited this week. There are two interior pieces that bother the heck out of me. The first is the infotainment screen and second, the piano black on the shifter and console. Has anyone successfully disassembled and vinyl wrapped the piano black pieces? Has anyone purchased or made a screen protector for the infotainment screen?

Where can I purchase the factory service manuals for this vehicle?

Thank You

I never thought of a screen protector for the infotainment screen. I've never put one on a car screen. They aren't subject to the things that typically scratch phone screens and they remain in a vertical position. Maybe I'm not thinking of something? You would also have to deal with issues in the film - but it's weighing the risks I guess.

That is a really interesting idea for the shifter! I hate how much of a fingerprint magnet it is. I'd be interested in that.

I guess for the infotainment screen, a matte film to reduce finger prints.

The dealer should be able to provide this, but I also found the link below.
Factory-Manuals.com
Dealers don’t provide service manuals.

The better way is to go to Hyundai tech info, which is an official Hyundai website and provides you with the info you would get in a service manual: Hyundai Service Website

You have to pay for it, per week, month or year. But it’s the real thing, directly from Hyundai.

I've scene a cover for the shift area on Aliexpress. I ordered a couple key fob skins from there... Been a months and they're still sitting in China waiting for the plane... At least that's what they told me... 😊

Fob skin only cost $2.50, so I don't stress, and have to wait 60 days to request a refund.

In 2008 when I bought my '09 Mazda 6, I requested a copy of the service manual and wiring diagrams from my local dealer. It took awhile but they got me the entire service manual (3150 loose pages wrapped in plastic).
Your statement may be true now though since I'm sure the complexity of new vehicles necessitates a digital collection of all vehicle systems.

(CORRECTING MY POST) I originally said this showed as unavailable to ship to the U.S. I found another listing where you can have it shipped for $76, but it gets here in a couple weeks! I look around some more later. Good find.

Also checked for key fob covers for my SEL... there are no key fob covers for the 5-button (non-Limited) remote. It's crazy! Been looking for a while now.

I ordered mine a month ago, it's still sitting in Shenzhen... Not sure if it's lost or they still haven't sent it. At $2.50...its worth the shot.
You have to select the 5 button fob.

I was interested in this. But after thinking about it I decided to pass since it's still glass and just as susceptible to fingerprints as the actual screen. I'm curious how the sensitivity is with it on though.

I can't tell for sure. But I'm pretty sure that carbon faker is glossy. Which means it's just as susceptible to fingerprints as well. But I suppose it wouldn't be quite as easy to see them since it's not all black. I'd be interested in getting a matte version though.

THANK YOU! I'm ordering. Agree the price is no risk. Will help keep my fob warm when I get it in December, right?
Haha! For me, it took 2 weeks for me to start seeing lil scratches on the fob... Then another 2 weeks to find this. Update me on your shipping... 👍

i hope you guys aint using paypal. i had a long bout with them about a dashcam i bought from china. suckers sent me a really bad knockoff, and i disputed it. paypal wants the item sent back, with tracking. except usps dont do that. ups does, but then freight is like 100 bucks. then, when i google the company, up comes a whole pile of complaints, on paypal, about this company. they have several websites, and do all kinds of scam stuff, from sending the wrong stuff, to not sending at all. and paypal is not refunding any of the money. it was like paypal is owned by this scam company. i think the parent company is dongguan shunfa. since my paypal account is attached to my bank account, or it was, i just filed a dispute with my bank, and it was immediatly refunded. we rarely use paypal anyway, but these chinese companies can get away with stealing, and they know it.

Paul, I finally got an update... They shipped it and it's on it ways to USPS. So it's been about a month and I hope they get here this week. Hope yours is faster.

Awesome! I noticed today there's a little 5 day countdown timer under my order meaning something is supposed to happen within 5 days. I am hoping that means it has to ship by then. Let me know how they work.

I just got a notice mine shipped. In 19-39 days, I'll have them! Ok, we hijacked this thread big time!
