the faceplate of my stereo was stolen on my 2003 HY Elantra gls. I wanted to replace it with another, but when I went to Best Buy, the only units they have to "fit" my car costs around $200 or more....not looking to spend that much. Maybe silly to some but are vehicles size specific when it comes to stereos?

Additionally, the old body (of old stereo) is still intact. How do I remove it? Is there a specific kit I can use and where do I purchase this?

i had replaced my radio with 2 din unit - and it fits in - you can buy a kit to fill up the gap if you want to install 1 din radio , as far as radio removal you will need to get the bazel around the dash out and than you will find 2 or 4 screws that you need to remove
