Hi all im Jamie and have a 2002 Hyundai accent 1.5 td gsi uk model and was wondering if anybody knows how to disable the immobilliser . I have had the car from 2004 and cant fault it until now I have just put a new starter and fuel pump in her which was a small fortune and now my immobilliser has kicked in. all the mechanics I go to tell the care is now scrap and cant be fixed. I hve even tried my new spare that was never used it is coded.

Auto/5 spd?
Why was starter/pump replaced? DIY?
Suspicious that problem only began with parts replacement.

Does the starter crank but no fire?

Why are you convinced the immobiliser is to blame? Was that the mechanic's opinion?

Not faulting you here, just looking for as many clues as possible.

Click on the Forum Search button and search for immobiliser or immobilizer. Quite a lot of discussion.

Post back as much info as you can.
