You probably don't need a cruise control kit for a CRDi engine, just the factory switch.
If the switch fits on the steering wheel though, you might need to replace the airbag clockspring if there isn't enough wires in the original one to support the additional switches.

Reviving old thread...

I have a 2015 (MY16) 2.5 TD CRDi. I replaced the steering wheel (which I wanted to do regardless because the old one was worn) with a replacement that has the cruise control buttons. But doesn't seem to work. Is there anything else I would need to do? How can I check if the control module exists at all?
