Wife came home in her 2006 Azera and said that key was hard to remove and then key-in-ignition-with-door-open chime kept chirping. Now cannot put key into lock far enough to start engine. Turned steering wheel manually to make sure that interlock was not hung up. Wheel turns OK. Released gear shift by using small release button on center console. Gear selector position does not solve problem. The chime problem probably means that ignition lock thinks that key is still inserted. Has anyone run up against this problem before? Any thoughts on cure other then getting a tow to the dealer?

We have seen a lot of the 2006 Sonata key cylinders goof up... could carry over with Azera...

Repair would be new key cylinder, send to lock shop and have it coded for for current vehicle key (that what we been doing with Sonata)..
