Hi,

I'm attempting to change the discs and pads on my i800 front wheels but I cant get the wheels off.

Obviously all the stupid things like yes all the nuts are off including the locking nut and the wheels are off the ground :) but they both wont shift. I've tried kicking them from behind, getting a lever and whacking it across the middle of the wheel from behind - I even got so fed up with them not coming off I tied them to a ride on mower and attempted to pull them off - but the rope snapped - probably just as well as it may well have come off the jacks!

Any ideas gratefully received

Paul

You need a BIG hammer. Give the inside of the tyre a good whack and the wheel will break free. If that doesn't work get an even BIGGER hammer and repeat. It's a good idea to leave one of the wheel nuts/bolts on loose so the wheel doesn't come right off and get marked when it lands shiny side down on the concrete.

And if they are really stuck there is always the old 'drive it with the wheel nuts loose' trick.
