My i800 has developed a fault whereby the ABS appears to activate at low speeds, even under very gentle braking. You feel the ABS rumble under your foot which is very disconcerting. My garage can’t find any mechanical issues and nothing is showing on computer either. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
Cheers

What you describe is a common symptom of rotor deformation. It can be caused by badly rusted ABS tone wheels, but more often than not it happens when one of the ABS tone wheels is cracked. Carefully inspect the tone wheels for cracks between the teeth...

If I helped you fix it, why not...

Your support is greatly appreciated

Thanks Autospark- my engineer checked the front near side and it had a very slight split which wasn’t activating the sensors. A new part for £37 from eBay, £75 to fit and the problem has gone!!
