Hi, I have recently bought a 2nd hand i20 from a garage that bought it as a CAT-D write off. The car was in a bump that needed a new door and the drivers seat airbag had blown. I've no idea why the insurance deemed it more expensive to fix as it only had a few hundred miles on the clock. It has since been fixed and sold onto me. They didn't however, put in a new airbag and fix up the seat rip.

We got in touch with Hyundai and they referred us to an accident repair garage that can put in a new airbag and fix the cover. We didn't mention the warranty and they didn't take any details.

The repair garage can do the work for us, that will cost around £600 as apparently the whole seat cover will have to be replaced, re wired and a new bag put in. I'm fine with this, but will it be under the warranty when it's done or have we bought the car with the warranty already void?

Thanks for any help.

Hmmmmm not sure about this, are you talking about the whole car being covered under the manufacturers 5yr warranty, or just a warranty on the repaired bits ie seat/airbag?
I'm talking about the whole car being under the 5 yr warranty after the work is done. In other words, has the warranty been void because it was a CAT-D write off? Or will Hyundai not know any of this?
