Hi All, I have a Hyundai 2011 i20 1.6 model. The steering audio controls used to work then they started to work intermittently, and now after a few months, they stopped working entirely. The car is out of warranty and would like to know if it is an easy fix or something electrical and if anyone has experienced this before without sending it in to the dealer ? Let me know if you require more details. :smile:Thanks, Des

Your problem might be an open circuit within the clockspring behind the steering wheel. That's quite a common issue.
Whether it's something you can fix yourself is hard for me to judge. It's not that difficult although you do need to remove the airbag and the steering wheel to replace it.

I'm sure someone will have done a write up on how to replace a clockspring. Try using the forum search facility and see what you find. It's pretty much the same procedure regardless of what model your working on.
