hi everyone,
i own a 93 hyundai elantra that has had transmission problems seems forever. were these particular year hyundai build with bad transmissions and can this transmission be replaced with a newer year trans.

As your car has a Mitsubishi engine/transmission you need to be looking for Mitsu. & not Hyundai spares when you contact scrapyards etc..

You might get better advice re. engine codes etc. on a Mitsu. forum, but I think parts from a G463 motor might be suitable.

NOT SO,
all HYUNDAI's have Hyundai build engines. The design & blue print is from Mitsu, but this is all.

Quite so, Hyundai builds all their engines. They use Mitsu. blue prints and occasionally adapt a Mitsu. part to cut production costs.
