That would be good for Dodge and Chrysler but would Hyundai even want to keep dodge and Chrysler . I think Jeep , Ram and the network of dealers would be only thing of value to Hyundai. Would be kinda cool though to see a Dodge Neon return based on the Elantra and a Dodge midsize car based on the Sonata and Dodge Journey based on the Santa Fe or Tuscon , haha what would they call themselves, HFCA ? also wouldnt it be a lot of manufacturers under one umbrella
Maybe Genesis and Chrysler as their luxury brands.. Genesis would be a Super shot to Chrysler and Chrysler would give Genesis maybe recognition or would that be bad for genesis ?
Maybe Dodge, Hyundai , Kia and Fiat as their bread and butter Brands but offer only some in some markets like Fiat in the UK selling Hyundai models
wow Jeep would be interesting with Hyundai DNA mixed in with Jeep DNA
would Hyundai have a truck version of the ram similar to Chevy and GMC
also how big would this make Hyundai and FCA as one Automaker maybe called HFCA LOL
Actually, a lot of Chrysler models were sold with a lifetime drivetrain warranty for the original owner not long ago.
Don't think they still do it but I know 3 people that have that warranty on their Chrysler products and that is one of the main reasons they bought the cars they did.
One had had warranty work done on his engine already and it was an easy process.
Take 2 krappy car companies, merge them, and have a megaKrappie car company... sounds like a great plan.
Hyundai needs Ram and Jeep, even if there is some product overlapping. Kill off the fake Jeeps, add in some of the great Jeeps/ideas from the past, and keep it going. Dodge/Fiat/Chrysler can disappear with Plymouth Mercury Merkur Pontiac Saturn Hummer.....
This merger, if it occurs, is going to be one of the biggest nightmares ever. UAW should start shivering now.
