I was wondering, does anybody know what all is involved in removing the silver fake carbon trim on the sides of the doors and on the dash? I was looking at them and wonder if they just pop off using those yellow trim removal tools

I want to wrap them in piano black gloss vinyl .

Piggy-backing off this thread, are the trim pieces from 2015-2017 LF's compatible with 2018? The trim pieces looking similar in shape, but i don't like the trim look that comes stock on a 18 SEL. I would assume/hope that they are able to be popped off though with a trim tool. Might give it a try tomorrow and post back here.

The trim pieces on the dash with the A/C vents in them (above glove box and to the left of the instrument cluster) are installed with screws. I believe the trim on the door panels are clipped in, but would likely be much easier to remove by removing the interior door card/panel first. You might need to remove the interior door handle assembly first too.
