I'm looking at running some wiring from the front under-dash to the armrest cavity where you rest your right arm. I'm looking at putting another 12v outlet in there but I need to take the lower console apart first. the HMA manual's first statement is "Remove gearshift knob". Is it a pull/twist/yank or do I have to do some other contortion that I haven't figured out yet??

You have to pull it upward really hard. Make sure to keep your feet firm and only pull it using your shoulder force else you will hit your head...don't ask how i know :whistling:
