Seen some images of Tucsons with Bug deflectors on the Hood/Bonnet.

Do they work or just for show as I find the Shield/Windscreen likes to catch em.

Hard to find any in the UK, unless you know where.

In theory, they should redirect the airflow and force bugs over the roof, not 100% effective. They do protect the leading edge of the hood though.

I had one on my Elantra and it worked quite well. I don't have one on my Tucson and I notice the difference.

How are they fitted, Adhesive tape or Clip on. ?

Most are clipped or screwed on. I think factory ones are usually screwed on.

please post pics after install :) i'm also asking othr tucson owners who have a vent hood deflector to post their pics..

specially the white ones and chrome deflectors..

i want to get an image of how that looks (i own a white tucson) and am debating black or chrome :p

They do protect the leading edge of the hood but that's about it.

I had the 3M clear protection film applied to the front end and a 1/4 of the hood and that does work.

The windshield glass is soft, so if you go on a lot of long distance, higher speed trips, it's going to get chipped up.
