Hi,

Over the last few weeks while the weather has been hot i have noticed that my 2 month old i10 starts on a morning at approx 1000 rpm but then when i leave it at work and go back at lunchtime to start the car it starts at 2000rpm and stays like this for about 30 to 40 seconds.

Is this normal as i didnt notice it on my last i10?

Its an active 2013 model.

Thanks
Sarah

weird behavior of yours.mine at mornings when i start it,it goes at 1600rpm and after a couple of seconds settles just under 1000 and as the temperature rises it settles at 700rpm according to scangauge.when it's warm and i start it it goes at about 800-900 for a second and then 700rpm.i suspect a stuck air by pass valve at your car.go at your local dealer to have it checked.

i disagree.there is no need for such high rpm at start up and for so long but that is just my opinion based on my i10 behavior which i find ok.
