Hi folks. I had my engine replaced under warranty in 4/21. Less than 2300 miles later the high pressure line above the motor was “spewing gas” according to dealer. How do you make sure that the gas is cleaned out of the car? My kids are scared to drive it and I am too. The entire left side was covered in gas and the foam on the back of the plastic engine cover leaked gas when pressed.

How long ago was the fuel line repaired? Do you smell gas in the engine compartment?
I would think the gas would have evaporated by now.

As long as it isn't leaking now it will be fine. Hopefully the dimwits that did the engine replacement aren't the same one that repaired the fitting.
Hate to say this, but just be aware if any fuel smell.

Of course it's gas...they've had many fires so it is required now as a precaution, to change the tube with a new connector.
