Hello,

usually, all the gas has leaked away, that would be the first thing to check.

In my limited experience of these things, diagnosing and fixing problems with air conditioning on an older vehicle can quickly become very expensive and unless you live somewhere that is consistently very hot, not cost effective.

Much cheaper to open the windows.

So perhaps the heater fan fuse has gone or maybe the air mixer flap motor is broken.
Here is a long topic on A/C that might hold some clues for you.
