The tail gate on our SFS has been really heavy lately. When I checked the tail gate lifters, they both appear to have leaked a viscous oil like fluid at the top. The photo shows it all gunked up.

Could this be the cause of the heavy tail gate? The vehicle is still under warranty - is this a warrantable item?
