My 08 LTD is in the dealership getting a bunch of stuff done all at once.. Oil Change, leather seat cover replacement and some (hopefully) minor body repair for a rust bubble coming from the inside on the hatch under the rear glass.. which includes re-clear coating the entire hatch.

Haven't driven it much, but there are major differences in the 2 models.. this 2010 is the base 4 Cyl FWD and mine is an 08 Limited AWD..

If you're interested, I'll post my thoughts on the differences between the two.. I keep the 2010 until at least Friday.. if no-one cares.. I won't bother :D I'm not sure if this model has the the same tranny that is causing grief.

How's that 4 banger do pulling the Santy around?
I don't live in a very hilly area but what I have noticed is that it is louder than the V6 when accelerating.. however, with just me in the vehicle and not hauling a full and heavy load it seems to do OK.. certainly doen't have the same response as when I put my foot into the 3.3L

Not sure whether it's from having less weight in the front end and the lack of AWD (weight in the back end), but the handling isn't as "crisp" either. Not that the SF is a sports car, but just enough for me to notice. For puttering around getting groceries and such.. it would probably be just fine.

I have driven 4 bangers and I drove a GLS today. It's actually not bad considering the size and weight of the Santy. It does rev and can get noisy, but definitely is one of the more quieter 4 cylinders.

Wife had the 2010 out for a few hours today.. she also mentioned the loose steering and lack of power.. the only positive she mentioned was the blue tooth. Overall, it's a decent entry vehicle for the size, better on gas than my 3.3, but I'd have to say.. if you had a choice, I would be comparing the GLS/Sport/Limited when looking at a new one.. mind you the tranny issues with the new 2010's have to be a factor.

Any entry level model by any manufacturer will have major differences vs their higher packages.. it's not just Hyundai.. all in all.. can't wait to get mine back!!!!

Just adding a little "me too" post :whistling:

I found what I think is a rust spot starting under the rear spoiler just beside the rear windshield spray nozzle. I'm taking it in Monday night for 2 days (Tue-Wed) so they can send it to the body shop they use and they can do what they have to. Why two days?? In case they break something while taking the spoiler off apparently. That's what I was told anyway. Bought it 53 weeks ago...

I lost interest in spoilers years ago, after seeing so many of them driving around Ottawa with rust drips down the back of the trunk. It seems that they are an aftermarket drill-job, even when installed at the factory.
