Hi All, just had my 6TH, yep 6 Radios, fitted and guess what, its faulty!!!
Most of the radios had the problem of loosing radio reception and when put onto CD, causing distortion.
The time taken to exhibit these faults varies from 5 mins to now 50mins!
If you turn off the engine and leave it to cool down for 10 mins, when started the radio works again for about 5 mins before loosing radio again!!

Ive just wrote to Hyundai Customer Services stating that I want my car looking at by Hyundai UK as I dont believe I can be unlucky enough to have 6 radios fitted with faults!!

Ive given them the option of fixing it once and for all or I`ll get the radio replaced by a Car Radio Specialist and bill Hyundai under Sale of Goods act as a concequential loss!

Has anyone else had numerous radio problems??

I can only guess that where the radio sits in the car, it is being affected by heat in someway!

I`ll let you know what happens

I replaced the radio/cd player in my Comfort about a year ago with a Sony 'double-din' unit from the USA. The complete unit, facia panel and connectors cost me just about £200 and has been money well spent since it also has the facility to either plug in an ipod directly, or, as I do, just use a 'flash-drive' memory. I have to say that the OEM radio, a VDO unit, is basic at best, and it's unrealistic to expect a quality unit in a car as keenly priced as the i10 range. I appreciate that it's annoying to have to shell out for a different unit after having bought the car, but how much time/money have you spent running back and forth to the dealers, however good they might be, expecting them to be able to make a 'silk purse' out of what is obviously a 'sow's ear'!!! Better I think, to cut your losses, get a decent unit fitted, and sell the rubbish VDO one on Ebay!

I quite like the radio in my i10, plays cd's and an mp3 player. (I mostly play the mp3 player)
Miles better than my old Clio, only problem that I have with it is that it will only pick up radio Scotland traffic updates.
