GROUP BUY FOR COMPASS NAV. Ends June 30, 2015

I just realized there was a Group Buy section on this forum. I am organizing a Group Buy for the Compass Nav system. I do not work for, and am not personally affiliated with Compass Nav. I have contacted the president of the company and proposed this Group Buy. Originally it was going to be for just the Elantra GT, but I received so much positive feedback that we are able to open it up to ANY Hyundai or Kia model that has stock, non-Nav head unit.

Hyundai
Elantra Sedan/Coupe/GT:
Sonata:
Tucson:
Santa Fe:

Kia
Forte
Sportage
Soul
Optima
Sorento
Sedona
Rondo

For those who don't know Compass Nav is an amazing navigation option for your GT that adds full navigation and an 8" touch screen to your car while still using the original stereo. Basically it replaces the front LCD screen and buttons with a big touch screen. It also allows you to integrate reverse camera, along with live traffic updates. You retain all of the original features like XM radio, steering wheel control, voice command, USB and bluetooth function.

This is Compass Nav installed in Elantra GT by @GunnyDP

Here is a video of it in action. https://youtu.be/KpUy-ghganw
Here is their website Compass Nav - Navigation systems

You will need to install yourself or have a local car audio place do it for you, but from what I know it is easy. A few GT owners have done it already and love the unit. They all said the install is as easy as legos.

I am not going to openly post the price on the thread, and only post it in PM as per Charles request, but I can assure you it is good. I got about 5 people who are interested at the moment. My goal is to get at least 15 people to pledge. That is where we will get the best price. After 15 the price will not drop any more, but the more people that take advantage of this, the more people have awesome nav systems.>:D

PM me if you want to know the price. And please don't openly discuss it on forum. Everyone will be getting the same discount. The more people that buy, the better the price.

This is how we are going to do it.
- if you are interested, PM me with your contact details, name, phone number, email and address (I am organizing this).
- I will compile the list and give it to Charles at Compass Nav so he knows who is part of the group buy.
- each person interested will be responsible for making the payment directly to Compass Nav. (I don't want your money)
- Prices will be in USD and can be paid in CAD at exchange rate at the date of purchase.
- in Canada the payment can be made via Interact Email Transfer
- in Ontario and other provinces there will be 5% tax
- in Quebec the provincial tax applies
- in USA payment will be made via PayPal and 3% will be added to cover PayPal transaction fee to seller (no taxes).
- we all get a 3 year warranty from Compass Nav
- each will be responsible for install and it is very easy with full instructions supplied.
- additional options available at an extra cost like OEM reverse camera, and live traffic update module if you are interested.

Please don't pass this chance up to get an amazing Navigation System. Compass Nav comes with Igo Premium Navigation software with free lifetime map updates

Having an 8" is sure to impress everyone who looks at it! Stock OEM Nav is only a wee little 7". Yes size does matter.
Let's make this happen

Yeah we need more people to get the best price. I got in crap for trying to post in other sub forums for different cars. Didn't know about this dark corner of the forums. Problem is other people also don't know about it. This group buy is open for any Hyundai or Kia that has stock npn-navigation unit installed.

The other problem is I have 11 people, but how many are %100 serious. What I need is everyone interested to make a $100 (fully refundable) deposit to Compass Nav to make a commitment this way we know how many people are serious. Once we have the numbers we can place final order. I will be sending an email to everyone who has gave me their contact info. Lets see how many make the deposit.

Hi guys, Thanks for organizing this group buy.
I have some concerns (I also think other would have):
- What is approximate value of Compass Nav originally and after group discount?
- Can a novice individual can install based on instruction given by whosoever?
- How about shipment charges?
- Would there be duty for Canadian?

Hi @antemeridiem ... Welcome to the thread!

For starters, there is no public discussion of the pricing on the open forums. If you want the Compass-Nav system, then you need to contact the organizer of the group buy @kevjef420 for the information you are looking for.

Regarding the installation, everyone that has purchased the Compass-Nav unit has said the install guide is excellent and the procedures are so easy anyone can do them. I have a Santa Fe, and the Compass-Nav owner @charlesj123 told me that it is completely plug and play, no cutting or splicing of any of the original parts of my car. The hardest part will be taking the dash apart and putting it back together without damaging/scratching it.

I recommend searching the forums and reading all the reviews and comments about the Compass-Nav system. You can also contact charlesj123 directly, and ask him questions.

If you haven't been to the website yet, you should start here Home | Compass-Nav and decide if this is the right system for your needs.

I hope this helps answer your questions!

Hey @kevjef420 ... haven't seen an update in a while, where do we stand on the numbers so far, are we still at 11, or have more folks come on board? Also, I have not gotten any messages about the deposit yet either, do you know when that is supposed to be done?

Thanks!

Unless it went straight to my spam box and got deleted, I can't find any email from you. Of course with over 20k messages in my archives, I can't rule out the possibility that I got it and just can't find it ... :D

Thanks again!

OK deposits are starting to come in. Come on everyone. Lets do 15 systems. That's where we get the best savings. If you know anyone with a Kia or a Hyundai that has the non-Nav unit, they can take advantage of this one time deal. Unfortunately the Kia Rio and Hyundai Accent are not supported, due to lack of demand. If somebody would like to reach out to the Kia forums it would help to get more potential participants in this GB. I need to personally add anyone interested to the list for them to be included. PM me for more detail and pricing.

Since the system is shipping within Canada there is no customs or duties. Just tax.

Install is very easy. it is literally plug and play. Shipping in Canada is around 25-30$ I can't remember exactly but I will find out for you.

The discount you will be getting will save you BIG BIG money compared to having it installed at a dealer. I just tried to send you a PM but you are unable to receive them. If you want to know then PM me your email or text me at 416-666-4204. BTW I will not respond to text messages from the USA cause I will pay up the wasu.

Cheers.

I installed this unit on the Santa Fe and it works nicely. The section of the dash to be removed was not difficult. The navigation system works much better than the OEM one on my 2012 Camry Hyrbid. If you want one, do not hesitate.

A few more deposits have come in. We still need a few more people to pledge and make a deposit to get the best deal. 2 weeks left to take advantage of this amazing deal. If you know anyone with a Kia or a Hyundai they can take part in this one time offer. This is one purchase you will not regret. Everyone that I have talked to about the Compass Nav says it is amazing, easy to install and far superior to the stock nav system.

Great idea guys, unfortunately they do not have one for my 2008 Sonata Limited. Only have 162,000 on it so I will be keeping it for a few more years. :)-)

The majority of sales that Compass Nav makes is through dealer upgrades, so they only bother selling current modles. Too bad as the 08 Sonata is a nice car.
