http://www.hyundai-forums.com/style_emotic...000732.gifAfter getting 1st and 2nd gear synchro problems sorted @ 60,000 miles ( under warranty) 3rd and 4th have now went @ 18,000 miles later.
Local Dealer has Quoted £800 for sorting it out. Phoned Hyundai uk to give off about the gearbox problems and they have offered £250 towards the repair as a token gesture which i accepted as my car is a 2004 model.
Still £550 out of pocket ! But it's better than £800

Our Trajet has only 56000 mls and is now 6 years old and needed 1st and 2nd gears. Dealer has denied not knowing anything about when i said gearbox noisy since we bought it. Trading standards said because still on finance let them sort it. Costing us £1200 to fix and all new parts are upgrades. Dealer told our mechanic that it must have been one that missed the recall but they tell us that there was no recall for trajets, any info would be helpful

Sorry lads I am in Essex and cannot help you. There was no recall for the box just a service action under warranty. There is a recall for rear trailing arms. Modified synchros and hubs were supplied at a later stage.

hello to all,just put cam belt kit in and water pump 2ltr diesel ,i can tell ye guys there one ball of dirt,oh yes gear box nackkered aswell power steer pump leaking,fuel pump leaking wiper linkage nackkered,now i got to pull the gearbox out of it, dealer ireland, here want 400yoyos for 1&2synchro,for a full recon box is 1200yoyos from a gearbox centre,so does anyone know were i can get after market kits,synchro,hub and sliders
if i can be anyhelp drop me a line

Do you happen to know the part numbers needed for repair of the 1st and 2nd synchro problems, I may have found somewhere to get them from but need to know what exactly is needed, is it just the hub and sleeve synch, or do i need key and ring synch too?
