i need some help with diagnosing a problem with my excel.

today i drove it home about 100kms on both mixtures of freeway and heavy traffic. it got home fine and did not seem to have a problem at all.
about 3 hours later i got in the car and went to put it into reverse and it was really hard to find the gear. once i got it in to reverse i let the clutch off as usual and it bunny hoped and went crazy and wouldnt leave reverse. now the car wont start.

helpppppp

having a stab in the dark on this but i'd say a seal (a seal makes something fluid/air tight) of some sort on your gearbox is stuffed, the transmission fluid (oil) has leaked out all day and on the driveway. without the fluid (the oil, the lubricant) it would be hard/impossible to put the thing into different gears because... it isn't lubricated so the gear mechanisms don't slip and slide around.

fix: take it to a mechanic. (probably already done)
