Earlier today my car unexpectedly didnt start. I narrowed it down to the battery, figured it was about time anyway, and went to autozone to get a duralast. Got the new one put in and starts fine now.

The ironic part is when I looked at my old battery it was stamped SEP 12 2010. It gave out exactly 3 years from the date it was made. Just thought it was interesting.

Three years seems short to me.

I replaced my 2006 Sonata original battery after 6 years. It was still cranking fine, but I was content with 6 years and didn't want to challenge the oncoming winter with a 6 year old battery. I had it replaced with another battery of the same specs, or better.

I expect 6 more years before needing a replacement.

It had a 2 year replacement warranty on it so I dont think I can complain about 3 years. Also considering I am running 2 amps and my HIDs that could be a factor.
