Hello Everyone,

May I get your input on the fuel consumption of your Sonata. My 2002 Sonata 2.0 GLS comsumed 14.5 Liters per 100 Kilometer (city drive), there is one time, it was 18.9l/100km. My average driving speed is about 30~40km/h.

I look at the spec, it was about 10.5liter/100km (city drive).

May I know what is your fuel consumption.

Conversion Table:

To convert from Gallons to Liters, multiply the number of Gallons by 3.7854.
To convert from Liters to Gallons, multiply the number of Liters by 0.264172
1 mile = 1.609344 km or 1 km = 0.6213711922373 mile.

SINCE YOU ARE MOSTLY do town driving, use the shiftronic, and try to drive in the 2000 rpm range (3rd gear up to 70~75 kmph. you will feel that the car is more responsive to the slight accelerator movement, and will be better at fuel econo.

My drive 50/50 on highway & town fuel usage around 8.5Ltr/100km, acc. around 2 to 2.5k rpm. . Try using better petrol fuel like Shell Vpower for a mth to clean up the engine. U may also view http://clubhyundai.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8072 from s'pore hyundai car owner advise.
