Anyone know what speaker size is needed for replacing the stock front door speakers?

Thought it was 6.5" so bought these off amazon:

But they dont quite fit into the rings that the original speakers sit in. They are slightly too big and the rim sits proud of the ring. Also the screw holes are slightly too far apart to line up with the holes.

Whittle away and redrill holes, or purchase door speaker adapters

I’ve just done a stereo on my 1.4 hatch Getz, all I can recommend is go to a local car audio dealer for your bits, prices online to in store won’t be any different. And you’ll get good info.

have you found out anything? I am so disappointed by my local car audio dealers. None of them wants to help me find the right adapters

If you can't find adapters, you make your own. Plenty of youtube videos on how to make speaker adapters.

We didn't get the Getz in the US. But, this is a typical 'raised' adapter for some older HyundaiKia products here

Its hit or miss with adapters and not every year/make/model is covered. Sometimes you get lucky when a different model, from the same make, fits. Other times you take the dremel/sawzall and trim the adapter to fit. Best is to use your old speakers as a template and make your own adapters.
