hi, i'm new here.

i have a 2008 non gt tiburon that was wrecked. the damage is mainly cosmetic as the suspension and drive train are ok. the frame rail in the front is bent to the side and the impact destroyed the bumper, headlights, hood, radiator, battery, and so on.

front clips, according to the shop, are running 3500 or more. i have a buddy willing to sell me his mechanic's special 2004 gt for less.

i was wondering if the frame rails were the same on both chassis (apparently the word is its own plural. had to look that up) and how much would bolt up headlights and so on. would i be able to use any fluid resevoirs from the gt version on my car? apparently they're all crushed.

i'm paying for this out of pocket so i'm trying to save as much as possible and don't mind a mismatched looking car.

TIA for any advice.

What do you mean by front clip? The whole front end? Because going from FL (2005-06) to FL2 (2007-08) they changed pretty much everything----hood, bumper, headlights, fenders, etc. Now if you're talking about replacing all of these things, it could possibly work but honestly I've never seen it done. Rear ends yes, but not the front.

That said, I'm not aware that the chassis changed any between years, just everything else on the front end.
