Today while working on a broken connector to my fog lights, I had the headlights on, and when I pressed the start button to raise my windows, the engine started without my foot on the brake! That was cool, I am not sure if the LED tail lights have anything to do with it, or this is a feature that is supposed to be there.
Akother interesting thing that happened, I shut off the car, then quickly pushed start twice with my foot off the brake, and the power steering was working without the engine running, that was cool also. The neatest thing was the system made no noise that I could hear.
I found the reason I didn't need to put my foot on the brake, it was the LED tail lights. When I turned the headlights on, the tail lights bled voltage back through the brake light wires, telling the ECU that the brake was on... weird.
Good to here you found the cause, I was wondering...
