actually the width makes no difference other than for cosmetic looks, if it fits right then always take a staggered fit...just a friendly advice!

people who buy custom wheels with custom sizes always go stagger fwd or rwd, otherwise there's no point in going custom, standard fwd fit will always look "standard" off the rack fit, it will always look like the stuff u buy at the local "america's tire" or "discount tire" shop or whatever.

using staggered tires is USELESS for front wheel drive, if I didn't tell you what size the front and rear was then would you even know what size they were ? NO you wouldn't.

the same size was a calculated decision, the rear was deliberate to get a minor stretch.

I have done many setups from VIP platforms such as ls400 gs400 ls430 infiniti q45 and with much more complex calcuations.

it's all in your head! the fact that they are staggered and can work on the YF should be a positive not a negative.

i could have said 225 45 18 and 255 40 18 and u

The reason for passing is that when using staggard wheels, I would want to use staggard tires (wider in the rear). Look at any auto delivered with staggard fitment and you will see a wider profile tire mounted on the wider rear wheel. A 225 stretched across a 9" rim does not look right for a staggard fitment. Again, see any car delivered with staggard wheels from the factory. A 9" wide wheel with +40 offset using properly sized tires, at least 245 preferably 255 for 9" width (235 would still look stretched) will not fit the Sonata. Anyone contemplateing purchasing these wheels should be made aware of this, and understand that a 225 is about as wide as anyone could go without rubbing.

That being said, if someone likes the looks of the stretched rear tire then these are perfect, they are definately very cool looking wheels.

By the way the non staggard custom Infinity wheels you installed on your Sonata were a perfect choice, one of the nicest overall looking Sonatas I've seen.
