Is there a good place to position a floor jack on '05 3.5L? I need to raise the Santa Fe up so I can replace front brakes. I usually use floor stands once the vehicle is up and plan on putting those where the normal wheel jack would go. I do see frame rails behind the jack point, but want to make sure it is OK to use those or if there is a better jacking point?
Thanks

Great guide Zero G!

I'd like to add that the pinch welds forward of the rear wheels and aft of the front wheel are the preferred jacking points. Most jack stands do not fit these points very well, so I've taken several pieces of hardwood 2x4 cut to about 6 inches in length and cut a 1/4 inch (about 6 mm) groove down the center of the block. I put these against the jack point with the pinch weld in the groove and than put the jack stand against the wood block. Makes for a very solid and stable car on jack stands.

Those frame rails are fine, have used them dozens of times on my 06.

If you drop the lower plastic engine cover there are some subframe spots that are better accessible afterwards.
