I gotta say I was impressed.

it does have the illusion of a bigger car than a yf sonata, looks bigger than the current accord.

the front hood appears long; the hood to roof to trunk porportions make the car looks strong and broad.

a few of my friends preffered the sonata over the optima, and many say they have about the same presence in size so it really is a matter of opinion.

it is a more masculine looking car than the sonata, where as the sonata is more rounded out on the feminine side.

I wouldn't say it's a matter of which is better looking, but more a matter of which style the person prefers.

both are ground breaking designs.

Which rims did the models you saw have? Most of the pix online show the 18" wheels with the really strange looking thick spokes. Ive seen only one set of pictures of a new Optima with the 17" wheels and they look much nicer. Normally I would go for 18s on a car over 17s, but not when theyre really strange looking.

Of course, maybe the 18s on the Optima look better in person. What did you see?
