I would make sure that the phase(+-wiring) is correct, and that the speakers are properly screwed and sealed snug up against the door. Double check the headunit bass/treble/fade/center....
It also takes 20-30hrs for a new speaker to loosen up and break-in, usually starting with low volumes and slowly moving up to more volume as time on them progresses. Biggest mistake that every yahoo does is cranking up brand new speakers all the way.
So, if you are not happy with their sound after 30hrs or 3 weeks of normal 5-day commuting, I would move them to the back doors and install a 6.75-7" speaker up front. Bigger speaker usually means more bass.
The OE head unit has enough power for normal mildly loud listening levels. It will never give you braindead teenager thumpthumpthump garbage rave krap music they listen to these days. You'll need a subwoofer and amplifier for thump.
Another option is to upgrade the doors to 8" coaxials. Plastic door panels might need a little reinforcing in the back when cutting the hole a little bigger for larger 8" speakers. Flimsy plastic door panel for speakers!
