Have a 2004 Elantra with 100k miles.

Was shifting hard form 2nd>3rd and research showed the most probable issue was the transmission speed sensors.

Replaced the sensors and fluid (Valvoline MaxLife Synthetic) and at first it seemed to be remedied but shortly thereafter the hard shift between 2nd>3rd is back, same thing.
Strangely enough, I found some things I've never seen come out of a transmission, small seed pod looking things, ............ugh.....

So I am thinking solenoid issue or, blockage form more of this crap that was in there........

Given it's a 2004 with such low miles, it's not unreasonable to think that it sat for quite a while at some point.

Thank you so much for any input

I had problem with solenoid a five years ago on my 2003 Elantra . Symptoms was similar but I also had CEL on. I was able to read DTC transmission code and replaced solenoid.Factory scanner (and some aftermarket tools from Snap-on, Autel etc.) have a special tests for solenoids so I would recommend to check it first.
