The following observed behavior may be normal, but after nearly two years, I noticed it only during the past two weeks.
In Eco mode, during spirited acceleration from a stop, the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) indicator flashes a few times, then extinguishes. This occurs on smooth, level, bare-and-dry pavement; I detect no slippage of tires or anything unusual. These maneuvers typically involve turning during acceleration.
The manual states: “This indicator light blinks: While the ESC is operating.”
Does the ESC operate only during hard acceleration, turning or other conditions? Is the observed behavior normal?
Thanks,
Brian
