2000 red sedan with factory sunroof and rear spoiler. I'm about to hit 90,000 miles any day now. I've never had any problems at all with my little Elantra. I love it. Sadly, I'm probably going to have to sell it in a few months I've got 3 kids and it's just not cutting it size wise anymore.

I like the looks of the Tucson, but I think it will be too small for my needs. I'd love to get a Santa Fe. It's supposed to get a new look for next year. The front fenders round out just a bit more than I wish they did. It still looks cool, but I wonder what the facelift will look like. I'll probably just wait until the end of the year when the 2005's are everywhere and then try and snag a left over 2004.

facelift model has just came out in korea but it's not much different yes hyundaii santafe will come out 2005 but i don't think you can wait that long ;;

2002 White VE w/beige interior

I didn't really care for any of the other Elantra Colours but the the Sonata comes in something called 'Celadon Green' - puts me in mind of a Jaguar

I would have taken that for the Elantra had it been avaialble.

BTW - I had a loner of a 2004 VE recently - I like the interior design of 2002 model more.

Hi there,
I'm from Romania, and i just get a elantra (TW - White Silver) 1.6 GLS. before this car used to drive my old bmw 530 (1994 E34 model). well it's just incredible.. those guys from hyundai representative in bucharest told me that standard variant meas a full option variant then all others cars (like skoda octavia, toyota avensis, seat toledo, etc.) it's a verry good (and cheep too) car.

I live in South Africa. Just bought a White 1.6L 16v DOHC 2005 Elantra with light grey leather interior. Came standard with a Pioneer MP3 Front loader. Upgraded front & back speakers myself to Pioneers. Want to upgrade my wheels to 17" and fit a rear spoiler.

I have a 2004 Elantra GLS. 2.0 . Auto , I have a CAI, And have replaced the stock cd player with a Pioneer 6600. Looks and sounds great. The Car has been great. No issues so far really. I have about 18k miles on it so far. Great Value.

The bride and I each have a 2002 Elantra VE. Both are silver. Hers has 67K kms and mine has about 64K kms. The reason that they are both silver as they were the only two 2002s that had the same approximate mileage when we traded in her 2002 Santa Fe (she wasnt happy at all with the gas mileage). Both cars (and the new Santa Fe) have been extremely reliable and no real issues other than in the bride's car, the digital clock no longer keeps reliable time
Just a side note with regards to the Santa Fe/Tuscons. Iasked at the dealership the reasoning behind two models which are identical in size. They said that the Tuscon will replace the Santa Fe at the small suv category and the Santa Fe will be bumped up in size for the next model year

I just got a 1998 elantra for my first car. Its black with beige interior. I love it. It was rust checked up too 2002. So its a good clean car.

But, less then an hour ago i went out to start it up and it woudlent even start. It just clicked. I hope its noing expensive.

I am from India.Have Red elantra 2004 .bought a month back.Fully loaded petrol version , known as GLS here.Very good car & value for money.Previously had an accent for 5years and disposd with jeavy heart after 140000km, inspite of the M/C was fit as a fiddle.
Any day in India hyuandai service is very good.

I HAVE A '97 ELANTRA GLS. RED WITH GREY INTERIOR. I NOW HAVE 160,000 MILES ON IT AND STILL GOING STRONG. ON THE OPEN HI-WAY DRIVING FROM HOUSTON TO MEXICO WITH THE CRUISE SET AT 80 MPH I GET 38 MPG. I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH 25,000 MILES ON IT AND THE DAY I BOUGHT IT I HAD ALL OF THE FLUIDS CHANGED TO MOBILE-1. ITS WAY MORE EXPENSIVE BUT IS SO MUCH BETTER. IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC I STILL GET 28-30 MPG AND THATS WITH AN AUTO TRANS. I PLAN ON DRIVING THIS UNTIL I BUY MY YOUNGEST KID HIS CAR (5 MORE YRS). I BOUGHT A 1990 EXEL NEW AND IT FINALLY DIED IN 2002 WITH 290,000 MILES ON IT.

I had a 2001 Elantra GT hatchback in burgandy for about a year and totalled it a couple of months ago. now i have a 2002 Red hatchback. i have blue xeon headlights, blue xeon foglights, K&N cold air intake, Blue map lights, Blue trunk light, Red License plate lights, Thule racks with wind fairing, aftermarket Dual CD/MP3 headunit with motorized face and ipod connection, 2 12 inch subs 200 watts each. coming soon New ECU, Blue LED's under front dash, Short shift kit, and headers.... open to any suggestions, limited on funds, but i love to work on it.

I drive a 1995 Ford Escort Wagon... for a few days more, at least. In the next week or two I hope to be the proud owner of a new Elantra hatch! (or, if I can't get the model I want, I may by a Kia Spectra5.) It all comes down to what my local dealer can find for me. I prefer the Elantra, but Spectras are in much more plentiful supply locally.

No problems so far except sunvisor bracket replaced for free by dealer.
