Hi, my 2002 Hyundai Elantra hatchback has had starting issues recently. The car runs 100% perfectly, but sometimes cranks a few too many times on startup. I have been stuck on a few occasions with the car taking about a minute to crank and start. Sometimes it starts straight away. The battery is fine, just got it tested and the starter motor works fine as well. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Only real issue seen with long crank time is pressure regulator on pump module leaks off residual pressure, and takes a bit to get system to ramp up pressure due to leak

Fuel gauge to line at rail and check pressure, shut off, see if it fall off rapidly.. after sitting a bit, turn key to start and see if pressure come right up,, or slowly rise while cranking

I would do complete fuel pump module if it come to fuel pump/pressure problem
