Hey guys,

I have a 2008 Santa Fe Limited with the Infinity 7 system. Subwoofer is shot and needs replacing. The speaker cover seems to want to pop off from the bottom when I use a pry tool, but the sides and the top require so much force I am worried I'll break the darn thing.

The only other solution would be to remove the entire panel that covers the entire backside and wheelwell. Hopefully I don't have to do this.

Anyone have any insight? Thanks in advance.

The mesh cover is screwed on from the back. You have to take out the storage compartments in the trunk before you can get access to the screws holding in that entire panel. Basically you need to take out that entire piece in order to have access to the sub. The seatbelt anchor on the rear drivers side will likely need to be removed too. Removing the seat would make everything easier for you but that is also a lot more work too and they're pretty heavy to remove.
