On my santa fe there is a DLR LED "band" integrated into the fog lamp body. And on one side it went off.
i asked for a price quotation and of course they need to replace to whole body and only the material costs about 500 dollars here. As the same happened last year with the main lamp body where the top led light went off and they had to replace the whole thing (it was still under warranty so I didn't have to pay anything) I guess the same will happen from time to time (2 more leds to go off in the next months/years). Which will be in sum 2*500 + 800 for the main lamp body, what's a steal.
So I thought I should look around to see if there are any third party replacement parts or if maybe there is away just to replace the led band in the body.
So the question is, is it possible to only replace the band?
And can I buy an aftermarket stuff from china (for example).
Also this is a bit more expensive but it promises exact fit and genuine parts. Though my car has a whie light only, no orange for turn signalling.
Are these trust worthy?
Will these fit perfectly into my car?
