Hi guys,

I'm new to the forums.

I'm in need of new rear brake pads and discs for my i20.
I'm struggling to find the right ones though because a lot of sites say the brakes are for cars with ESP but I can't find anything on mine to suggest I have ESP.

My car is a 1.2 Classic 2009.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

welcome to the forums :00000732:

very easy way to tell on any vehicle. if you have ESP then you will see an illuminated ESP light on the dash. panel when you switch on the ignition..................no ESP light? then its not fitted

Thanks :)

I thought that might be the case but then I started reading online that all i20's had ESP.

Thanks for that, that's certainly answered my question.

Cheers :)

ESP is an add on to the ABS system, if your car has ABS the discs have a gear type disc on the inner edge of the hub for the ABS sensor, ESP cars have the same discs as ABS equiped cars.
